Sports

1.) Focal length of lens:
Canon EOS-1DS, EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM zoom
-2.) Shutter Speed:
1/250
-3.) What is the effect of shooting at this shutter speed?
That it takes the picture faster. Because if it was 1/60 it would be slow and the picture will come out blurry. And 1/250 will capture the picture. Because the players can not stay up in the air that long its not possible!!!
4.) Aperture:
f.5.6 f/2.8L
-5.) What is the effect (Depth of field) of shooting at this aperture? It focuses on the players. It helps to show the different angles in the picture.
6.) Position - Describe where you think the photographer was standing to get this shot.
The picture on the left corner looks like he was laying on the ground to get that picture. The upper right corner it seems that he is standingnormal to capture the picture. But the other two pictures I really have no idea how he capture a picture like that. Unless the camera was connected to the basket and thats how he got the picture on the upper left side. And the one on the lower right corner he probably got on a chair and streched as high as he could and tokk the picture. If not he got on the stands and zoomed in to get a picture. But however he got it they are amazing pictures. It is the same shot but at different angles!

This picture is so amazing. Many people try to to take pictures of fireworks and they come out like a big bright light. But whoever took this picture got all the details of the firework and the city of Austin. It takes a lots of talent and patience to take a picture like that. I really love how pictures they can take pictures of things that people can hardly do. And I love the way the firework is capture. And the way the city of Austin looks all bent form the back. The first thing I saw from this picture was the firework. Its so bright and beautiful, it is truly amazing.

I love this video it is very unusual. That's the best part to like about it. I love how they scream just to win. Its amazing!!! I mean some people will find it a bit strange to see girls screaming insanely just to win a contest. But to me that is so awesome, really who wouldn't want to do that it is so much fun!!!! And so if I'm weird what of it. That's how I am!!!!:)

Filling The Frame

The past two pictures I just saw plain evil but in this picture I can see happiness and calm. But now that I really look at it I see evil, but not as much. Below the glorious light I see a city of pureness and non-evil. The light shows how beautiful the place is. But it only shines in one place. The rest of the picture is just surrounded with darkness and evil.

Action and Emotion

This picture is called " Death of Tapes" and this title goes really well with this picture. But in this picture the emotion is see is confusion and stress. Wanting to wonder why life can be so difficult. That the arm represents human form and the the cassette and the tape reprents the life that revolves around us. But some how you did something wrong. Life your life was organized into that one cassette but pulling out the tape begins to put your life into the diaster. Even though you pulled it a little it can come out as a explosion. Then before you know it your life gets tangled around you. That you cannot control it and you dont know what to do. Then all you want to do is go towards anger and stress. And where does that usally end up to. If you dont know just go refer to the title again. Yeah there may be some good in this picture somehere but with a title like that how do you try to find the good in it. But all and all this is a really awesome picture!!!

The Story

I believe this picture does tell a story. The way it is taken and what subjects are in the picture you can see a story. Even though this picture does not involve humans you can still relate objects to human lifes itself. To me I see this as an evil relationship is about to emerge. The brown part of the matches show the only good from them, what everyone sees. But then the fire shows the evil that takes hold of them. The title of this picture is called the "proposal". It may seem that way to people but is see him bowing down to the wicked one and he wants to be a part or her evil ways. I see nothing but evil in this picture. And the darkness as the background doesn't help to show the happiness in this picture. This is my opinion but I like I said photography is filled with opinions. From the good all the way to the bad. But all and all this picture is awesome.

ATPI Photography Shortcourse

Picture taken by: Steele Burrow

This picture caught my eye. I love how it looks. The confusion that it brings and trying to figure it out makes it exciting. Its two of reflections of one thing and it amuses me. The lighting is bright bringing the subject darker and the reflection very lightly into the dark subject. I would say this is leading lines because the lines leads to one thing and it makes it seem endless. It can seem nonreal but it is all this person really did was take a picture of a tree in the car with the window down. And just look at the results and it is really amazing. To me it looks like there is reflection everywhere which makes the subject seem so different from what is really is. Like you only see what figure you see in front off you but do not see the same reflection inside the figure. Like a mirror you can not see. Thats a really important reason why I love this picture. No wonder this picture won. It really truely is amazing. I hope someday that I would be able to takes pictures the way this person did. It is AWESOME.

Great Photographers Part 3

Of course you shoud remember this amzing picture taken by Minor White. This man is so amazing and I didnt even know him in real life. His subjects are so, well amazing. He doesn't focus on human made or human in his pictures. He uses nature and it looks beautiful. If I was in the picture I would see the world was full of darkness. I would hear the birds and bugs ehcoing in my ears. And the howling wind probably cause me to shut my ears from the disturbing noise. I would taste nothing but pure dryness as the wind goes into my mouth. I would feel the scrapes and cuts go through my body as I try to go through the sharp bark that stand before me. I would be able to smell the cold night and the snow landing on me making me quiver. In this picture I see if it is winter because this tree looks naked covered in snow. So of course the winter is among the night and the day. Even though you see only one part of the whole image you can still imagine what it feels like to be there. This picture is amazing picture. It really amuses me and I cant get this image out of my head. This photographer is so good that all the pictures he takes they don't leave my mind. And one more thing, I see the moons light brighten the trees naked barks. I just adore this picture because he involved the moon into it! This picture should really be rewared or something. Heck I give this picture the award of " Awesomest Coolest Picture Ever"!

Rember this picture?!? This picture was taken by Minor White.
This was a great picture.. I can image myself in this picure, it is so realistic. If I was in it I feel the strong wind pushing against my body. The waves hitting the rocks, spraying drizzles to my feet. And the smell of the sweet ocean. I could hear the waves clashing into the rocks and the wind making the tree howl. Some wave salt water makes its way to my mouth with a salty bitter taste. As the wind blows my hair to my face I can still see through my tangled hair the tree that stands strong and bold. I really enjoy this picture and if I really would come apon this place it would be so awesome! I love how this photographer focuses on the subject but can still give meaning to the background. This picture is truley powerful. It looks like the tree can stand any wave it can stand any storm. It looks like it has survived many years and it is still going to stand. This picture is worth more than just a look or a glance. This is a good picture for people to write what they think. Thats what I love about photography that people have different thoughts. Just this one picture has brought this much imagination in me. I would write more but then I would just be writing about thoughts.

Hurricane Ike

I like this picture beacuse of how the photographer used the rule of thirds. The intensity of the storm as if the waves was pushing the building. You can see how powerful the waves are and how hard the winds are strong. This picture may not have a lot to show but it does have a lot to explain. You may not see it but this picture has a lot of things to say. And that is one thing I love about photography, that it may not show a lot but it can still be very powerful!!!!!

I like this picture because how the photographer took it. How it shows how high the water was and the destruction the hurricane is causing. I think this picture is a Photographic Composition of lines. Because of the many lines and how the wind blows the trees into the photo. This is a very good picture. But I just wonder how the photographer took this picture during the storm?!?!?!?

I love this picture because I saw the same picture but at a different angle. In the other picture the house that seemed that it was the main disaster. But from this angle you can see all the disaster that is happening and the photographer focuses on everything. I think this picture is the Photographic Composition: Rule of Thirds. Because the burning home is focused on the side and everything around it helps it. This picture shows it all and all of the photographers are different. From angle to focus to postion and each picture are different and beautiful. Many photographers focused on the burning home.
