Ethics in Fashion Photography
They made her neck skinnyer and longer. They made her lips bigger and her eyes. And they made her seem like she glowed more then what she really is. And they make her head look kinda smaller.
2. Is it ethically acceptable to change a person's appearance like this in a photo? Why or why not? No because its not the real person. And many people will believe that they are but they really aint. You just cant change a person how they look it just isnt right. And so many stupid people change the way they look and spend so much money to make themselves look worst. They are who they are and they shouldnt change they way they look to "fit in"!
3. Are there circumstances in which it would be more ethically wrong to do this type of manipulation?
Because many people espacially the women just follow what they see. Many people are hurt cause of the way they look compared to all the ads and commercials that are put into our lives every day. Many people try to become what they're not and cause many problems. And they forget who they really are and just think if they look like the people on t.v or billboards that they will fit in. Many of these people just cant handle the way they look that it causes problems with friends, friends, amd themselves. It can accure to many problems causing endings that are well. (JUST EVIL EVERYWHERE)
4. What types of changes are OK, and what aren't?
To me you shouldnt really change anything. You shouldnt change to look like a celebraty you shouldnt change just to attract the opposite sex. You shoudnt even do it all.
5. Explain what you think the differences are between fashion photography and photojournalism. Fashion shows what every one is in to or should be into. And photoj just shows the truth, there isnt really many changes. But fashion photography only shows a pacific group and changes many things to pursway people into their power!!!(EVIL PEOPLE)
6. What relationship does each type of photography have to reality, and how does this affect the ethical practice of each?
Because art is everywhere as photography is everywhere. It just realates to everything. Cant really explain it but it just does.

My First Print
Everything seems to be in focus. Except for the right end of the pictures its out of focus. I think the wall or something didnt get really focused as the rest of the picture did. The photo came out good but it came out really white towards the light and everything else seem to come out right. I think I did the compostion of repition good but apraently there is no subject. Which I specifiaclly chose not to have one and but I still think it is good. To me I saw the project as taking pictures of acdemic things and I chose just to use the desk. Some body could think it wasnt good but it shows somthing at least. Yes there were spots in the picture and I think that caused them because it wasnt done right or the light was very sensitive. Which caused it to have the white spots. There is no one in this photo so the only thing that is seen are the desks and the empty classroom.(Which is the best kind of class an empty one!)
Here you can see the classroom of Ms. Vannoy's is empty. Due to students off on break as of now.
In Ms. Vannoy's classroom it was founded empty. The students were studing as the bell rang clearing the room in a second.

Photo Manipulation and Ethics
Each picture seems like if they werent Manipulation! With the launched missiles it seems like they shoot 4 missiles instead of 3. Even though on that event everyone knows it as the 3 missiles but people started to believe that there was 4. And the second picture with the people in it they make it seem that all the prime ministers are guys. But in the original photo there are really two women. And in the third picture you can tell it was manipulation! The dude had four arms! And in the last photo a dude was standing between them and he wasnt even really there.
B. Explain why you think this type of photo editing is unethical or acceptable.
To get some people famous. And some of the photos can be believeable except the dude with the four arms. But I dont think its right because then the world believes what they see.
A. Post the manipulation that you think was the most unethical, and explain why you think it was unethical
All the pictures are unethical because of the falseness in the pictures. Showing the opisite of the truth and many people believe what they see and that isnt right.
.B. Post the manipulation that you consider the least unethical, and explain why you think it is not as bad as others.
The ones that look as the real person it doesnt probably effect the real person as much if they cant tell. But if there is something there that is completly false then it isnt as good but they shouldnt be changing any of them they should just keep it true(or something like that)

Negatives Evaluations
Out of the twelve pictures only eight pictures cam out good. Four of them didnt come out good because I took them outside and they came too bright. But the ones I took inside came out good.
2. How many of your photos appear like they will not turn out well? Why do you think these photos did not turn out (Ex: Over/under exposed, not focused, bad composition)?
The one that I took from outside didnt come out the way I wanted to be. And the compostions that I wanted didnt come out the way that I expected to.I think four of them didnt come out the way they were suppost to be.
3. Select the negative image that you think will turn out the best when it is printed. Why do you think this photo will turn out well?
I think the one that will come out the best is the one where I took the picture of desks and the compostion is repetion. I know that I got the compostion that I wanted and I believe that was the best picture I took out of the tweleve.
4. What technical aspects of photography (focus, exposure, composition) do you think are present in your best negative? What evidence can you provide from the appearance of the negative to support your answer?
I think I showed good repition. I took many pictures that involved repition and I think they came out well. Like the picture that I took of the desks they showed repition because they showed the desk over and over again. And I think my view point picture came out good because i took that picture of the girl reading from a different point of view. From below her instead of being at the same level as her I was at a lower level than her.
5. What advanced composition techniques (Ex: rule of thirds, leading lines) that you have learned in class are present in your favorite negative?
That I think that repition can be easier to find then most of the other repitions. And that it can be easy to do view point because we can use staires and chairs to be at different angles from the subjects. And that leading lines are in many parts of the school too. Most of the pictures are my favorite negatives because of what I learned about the different compostions.

American Soldier
I think the most powerful picture is the picture of Ian and his room mate facing eachother and in front of them is the flag. Even though you cannot see the picture I think its powerful. That we can see past them and still see the flag there. Shows that they are there for thier country.
B. What sequence of photographs is the most powerful? Why?
I think all the powerful pictures are in the country. They show about the feelings and the there everyday lives they go through. Each either showing that thier sad, angry, determined, happy, and proud. This shows much power to each picture, they all have thier own power.
c. How do the images work together to tell a story?
They tell how an soldier feels and does and goes through. Things they do before the battles and things they get ready to do for the battle. They are scramble into different emotions but I think thats how war is. You can feel one thing at one point and a few seconds later you can feel something else. War can be bipolar!!!!
A. For the photos in which Ian is the main subject of the photos, in what tense are the verbs usually written?
I think they are present tense cause they use like"Ian talks with roomate..." They sent everything as if he was doing things right this second. And this photos take place 2008.
B. How do the captions enhance the photographs?
They make it seem as if it is happening right now. Cause if it was written past wise it wouldnt have been as good to enhance the photographs.
Under the "In Country" groups of photos, look at the picture on the top right corner in which Ian is holding the rossary.
The caption reads: Ian holds his rossary as he prays that he can get the strengh he needs.
Under the "Life in Iraq" look at the first picture in which Ian is driving a Humvee.
The caption reads: Ian drives throught the streets in Iraq in a Humvee.
Under the "Basic Training" groups of photos, look at the picture in the fourth row and move down four photos where Ian is camaplogde into the bush.
The caption reads:Ian hides in bush as he targets his target point.
A. How do these other features enhance the photographs?
You can hear the voices of the people and you can hear what they are thinking and feeling. That there is not different opionions because the person that is speaking is telling the real story.
B. In what ways are videos better than photographs? Provide an example from the Denver Post Web site.
Because of the effects and the people talking and talking about the pictures instead of people trying to figure out what the photo means. They just say it sraight up from thier feelings.
C. In what ways are photos better than videos? Provide an example from the Denver Post Web site.
They show feelings and show beauty. And there is always more than one answer to what you think it is. photos can be so amazing!!!

Marlboro Marine
The music made all the pictures tie in together. And the editing was amazing the pictures couldnt been as good without the effects.
B. What was the effect (added power or meaning) of the multimedia effects of the slideshow?
The music made the powerpoint with deep deep power. Without the music i dont think the slidshow wouldnt be a great deal of power. It showed the meaning of the pictures and the
A. What is the most powerful image from the slideshow? Why?
I think the most powerful image from the slide show
B. What sequence of photographs is the most powerful? Why?
Is when he started to feel depress and pictures started to show more feelings.
C. How does the audio enhance the photographs?
D. How do the images work together to tell a story?
Starts from one point where his feelings are to strong to handle. Till the end where his feelings made it through for him. Each photo said something different from each points.

Post Shoot Reflection
That the people didnt want to be taken of their photos. Many people were tring to pose for the camera and all they were supost to do is just do what they were doing. It mad it hard for me to take pictures of the students.
2. What technical aspects of photography (focus, exposure, composition) did you find yourself thinking about the most? Provide a specific example of what you did to do this correctly.
I was thinking mostly about the compostion. I just kept looking for a way to put things into compostion. Even if it couldnt been put that way I found a way.
3. Explain how you attempted to use at least one of the advanced composition techniques you learned in class while shooting.
I learned how to use repetion cause it was everywhere!!! Learning what is looks like I could notice what retpetion was held right in the school.
4. What would you do differently the next time you shoot to improve your photographs?
To not waste my time and just to go in the classrooms instead of wasting time trying to get in there. And get more compostion instead of the same ones over and over again.

I mean some people will find it a bit strange to see girls screaming insanely just to win a contest. But to me that is so awesome, really who wouldn't want to do that it is so much fun!!!! And so if I'm weird what of it. That's how I am!!!!:)

ATPI Photography Shortcourse
Picture taken by: Steele Burrow
This picture caught my eye. I love how it looks. The confusion that it brings and trying to figure it out makes it exciting. Its two of reflections of one thing and it amuses me. The lighting is bright bringing the subject darker and the reflection very lightly into the dark subject. I would say this is leading lines because the lines leads to one thing and it makes it seem endless. It can seem nonreal but it is all this person really did was take a picture of a tree in the car with the window down. And just look at the results and it is really amazing. To me it looks like there is reflection everywhere which makes the subject seem so different from what is really is. Like you only see what figure you see in front off you but do not see the same reflection inside the figure. Like a mirror you can not see. Thats a really important reason why I love this picture. No wonder this picture won. It really truely is amazing. I hope someday that I would be able to takes pictures the way this person did. It is AWESOME.

Hurricane Ike
I like this picture beacuse of how the photographer used the rule of thirds. The intensity of the storm as if the waves was pushing the building. You can see how powerful the waves are and how hard the winds are strong. This picture may not have a lot to show but it does have a lot to explain. You may not see it but this picture has a lot of things to say. And that is one thing I love about photography, that it may not show a lot but it can still be very powerful!!!!!
I like this picture because how the photographer took it. How it shows how high the water was and the destruction the hurricane is causing. I think this picture is a Photographic Composition of lines. Because of the many lines and how the wind blows the trees into the photo. This is a very good picture. But I just wonder how the photographer took this picture during the storm?!?!?!?

Negative and Postisve Pictures!!!
I love these pictures I like the negative more then the positive picture. It makes it more mysterious and more non-realistic. I didnt really like the postitive because it started to show color and it got boring. But the negative is so Freaking Awesome!
Of course both of the pictures came out different. The positive picture came out with a little color and it came out like a mirror. The tree on the negative picture is on the right side. And the tree on the positive picture is on the left side. In the positive picture it is darker towards the bottom and you can hardely see anything but in the negative you can see everything clearly just not in color.
Negative:expressing or containing negation or denial :refusing consent, as to a proposal :expressing refusal to do something :prohibitory, as a command or order :characterized by the absence of distinguishing or marked qualities or features; lacking positive attributes :lacking in constructiveness, helpfulness, optimism, cooperativeness, or the like :being without rewards, results, or effectiveness.
Negative Photography: noting an image in which the brightness values of the subject are reproduced so that the lightest areas are shown as the darkest.
The negative and the positive pictures are different because the negative shows the brightest values which are meaning they are the darkest. That is why the trees and the table are so bright in my pictures that when I turn it into a positive the trees and the table come out dark. And as for the sky it is dark in the negative picture and comes out bright on the positive picture. There is refraction recouring in this picture and it happens to most of the pictures.
Great Black and White Photographers Part 2
Photographer: Minor White
This picture is just amazing. The tree is so awesome how it covers the moon. The things hanging off the tree amaze me. This picture is beautiful. The darkness helps the moon and tree stand out and picture truly does grab your attention. Minor White takes beautiful pictures. He doesnt really use much people to capture the beauty in his pics. But he uses the earth instead of real life. He uses what surrounds us every day. Using the earth is what makes it a really great picture. I truly love this picture it is so AWESOME!!! And I love the MOON thats why I chose this to be one of my favorite pictures
